ascension eyepiece

What are everyones views on ascension eyepieces, was looking at

the Ascension Ultra Wide Angle Eyepieces.

and Ascension 2" x2 ED Barlow.

or Ascension Super Wide Angle Eyepieces.

These look like good value but I'm not sure of the quality, any info would be appreciated.

The ultra-wide ones are the same as Moonfish and a number of other clones. They are OK at F/10 but I think you would be a bit disappointed with them in your F/5 newtonian.

The super wides are clones of the ones that Rigel and a number of others sell. Probably a better bet in the F/5 than the ultra wides but will still show some astigmatism (distorted stars) in the outer 25% of the field of view.

The barlow looks the same as the Skywatcher ED - I've not used one of those.

Yes i see now the barlow is the same as skywatcher, flo sell the the same price as the ascesion ones.
