Clavius out of the shadows.

This is the 2nd and final moon sketch I did a few days ago, Clavius just coming out of the shadows.

The sketch was done at the scope then brought indoors and re-drawn on the computer using pencils, pastels and blenders.

Apart from the important stuff like the positioning and shape of the main craters the next thing I think is the tone o...f the surrounding area, trying to match the lights and darks but of course trying to simplify what you see.

I think it worked!
