Came across this new documovie today. The filming looks amazing.

I have never thought that deeply about the effects of light pollution before, I have always seen it as more of an annoyance than anything else but even this short trailer has changed my perspective of this problem.

It would be great if they could show the finished film on tv in a prime-time slot like Stargazing Live was

Maybe give the Campaign for Dark Skies a quick not about this and see if you can find a contact at the BBC to flag it up for them.....

Light pollution has much far reaching consequences than pure annoyance... to us, to our culture, to the environment, to the plants and animals in it...... but as was pointed out in the trailer.... no-one can see what they have lost and so no-one seems to care! Let's hope the film gets the biggest audience it can!!

Looks interesting, doesn't seem to be any plans for a screening in the UK though. Very much in favour of the above suggestion.

Hmmm.... I can't seem to find a relevant contact link for the BBC, the nearest I can find is one for pitching ideas and for that you need to sign up and log in. There doesn't seem to be a general enquires e-mail address.
