How big is the orion nebula

Check out todays astro pic of the day. its another blinder. Orion nebula like ive never seen it before if only i had a bigger field of view

I always knew Orion was swamped in Neb, but I had never seen pictures of the whole area.

Bernards Loop, is the ring of nebulosity on the outskirts, encircling the horsehead and M42

Oh My God...

Didn't know there were galaxy's near it, nor did I know in it's full form it looks more like a rose

The ring image is amazing... There must be at leat 30 galaxies in that image.

With the Orion shot, when you see an image like that it's suprising that you actually see any stars in Orion. I'm guessing but I would imagine that some of the nebulosity must be at non visible wavelengths...

When I clicked the first image I thought it was a close up of M42! There's a lot of stuff up there.
