Jupiter Jan 2011 reprocess

Had a play with this image taken Jan 9th. Re-sampled 2x in Registax then resized 75% so its 150% of the original. Few tweaks in image analyser too.

I would say this is my best shot with the auto Dob to date.

Nice process stuart, see your using analyzer, one of my favs, as of no paid for software on the pc. as freeware its a damm good program, how long have you been tinkering with it for ?

I've had Analyser ever since you recommended it to me last year Neil Don't use it a lot, still getting to grips with all the settings to be honest.

James I did not do anything dramatic just smoothed out the noise and tweaked saturation.

Ok dropping blacks on colour mapper is good, adding contrast but without the brightening effect, useful if the image whites out too much using contrast. whites can be dropped also, if the whites are too loud, but be careful too much and you lose dynamic range. really useful for the moon that one
