Ha. I got married in Jamaica in 2009 but unfortunately wasn't into the hobby then. I remember how amazing the sky looked. Saw a meteor as clear as day.

Here I can barely see the end if my street at times.

Awww wonderful, I have 2 weeks in Cyprus in July....out in a quiet residential area so shouldn't be too much LP....hope to see a few objects...although I need to buy some bins

You forgot to mention no need for 2 pairs thick socks, boots, multiple layers of clothes, woolly hat and fingerless gloves!!

We went on a Med cruise last year & sailed during the night. We where miles away from land & light and the stars where truly magnificent. You could almost reach out & touch the milky way & millions of other stars. We where all transfixed - if only I had some binos with me. Mmmmmm is that the excuse I need to do it again ......
