First Deep Sky M97

Well this is my first attempt at DSO's. Love M97 and after taking realised I got M108 too! Bonus!

This is only 1 shot at 120s, slight blur as not polar aligned properly but I am very happy.

Next clear night it will be a sought target.

That's great for a single shot, and 2 min unguided on an EQ3-2 with good star shapes is quite a feat. You should be pleased with that... I would be.

2 minutes unguided... my hats off to you mate. I could never get above 90 secs unguided even when shooting in the Northern part of the sky

I have to admit I do feel a huge amount of luck happened here, as i also took a lot of 1min subs and all have trailing. I think it was helped as I kicked the mount by accident and then did the 2min!

I can't see it happening again without some form of guidance.

That's really good. A few more subs of that quality, and you will get a really fine finished image after stacking.
