Both images are a crop from the centre at 100%

No you are right - I didn't notice it 'till I put it up against the other one. I've noticed that converting to JPEG upsets the black points sometimes.

I havn't touched the focus on that scope for over a month now, the filters are parfocal and the filter wheel is spot on. I've even taken the filter carrier out and replaced it with no change of focus!

I check the focus every time I use it - but if it aint broke - dont fix it!
