First attempt at moon with webcam

This is my first attempt at the moon with my webcam. Was rushing a bit to catch it before it set behind the houses and it was quite low in the sky so lots of atmospheric blurring.

its a very nice scope. last 2 nights have been my first real play with it since I got it a few weeks back thanks to cloud. The webcam images should get better at the moon gets higher in the sky over the coming weeks.

That's a very good first attempt, nicely done.

How many frames did you capture, and how did you process them ?

i think this one was a 10 second avi of whatever it is as default fps.

Don't have a tracking drive yet so the moon flies out of view in about 8 seconds or so.

Threw the AVI in to registax a few times until it gave me a decent image and then I adjusted the exposure and sharpened it up in photoshop before turning it to greyscale to hide the overexposed yellow tinge.

used the 2X barlow for this one.
