I didn't get the scope out...

Fed and bathed the kids, whilst they were playing and watching "The Bathtime Hour" (Not a bad show by the way!) I took the oportunity to pop out on the patio with my bins.

Seeing was excellent with little fuzzies popping out all over the place and Andromeda a nekkid eye object and superb in the 10x50's. So I got the cameara out on the pod and took some widefield short exposure shots and a few of the "Earthshine Moon".

Then horrible nasty clouds appeared from the South And North.......Torrential rain :D

Ho Hum!

Same for me except that I managed to snatch a quick look at Orion then the clouds rolled in real fast. Just got the scope in and was putting the eyepieces back in their box when .... torrential hail :D. I'm glad I didn't linger - I'd be scooping hail stones off my primary mirror now !!

Snap - each time I decide to take the plunge and get the scope set up it clouds over and rains. I go away, do something, take a look and see clear skies and repeat the whole process. Oh well, there's always the telly (or this forum).
