hi all. im currently waiting to get a low mag plossl(32mm) and a new finder or telrad,as my finder is junk.

problem is ,while ive niether of these at the moment all i have to use is a x50 and x100 e/p's.

so question is,what objects are not to difficult to locate, not including m42,jupiter and saturn.

looking at many of the main constellation stars can be interesting, not too difficult to locate and some have interesting doubles. Stellarium can be very helpful here. I use my 32mm Plossl a great deal to navigate by "star hopping" from known stars to other places of interest. It helps to set up Stellarium with the same orientation as your scope. My Dob. gives me an inverted and reversed image so Shift+ctrl+h and shift+ctrl+v shows the correct view on my laptop.

Success !
