TAL on Ebay. Worth a punt for a beginner?

Thought it worth alerting people to this:

TAL 120mm Reflector Telescope on eBay (end time 07-Mar-11 19:09:42 GMT)

It's a 120mm TAL Reflector on a motorised pedestal. It's currently at £51 but has 2 days to go.

I think it is a TAL-1 which is the same as mine. I would have a punt on it just for the motorised mount but it is in Lancashire which is too far for me and the seller won't do couriers. It might be worth it for someone more local though.

Someone on the Tal User Group fancies it too.

The way the prices on 2nd hand Tal1's are going lately, this may fetch a decent price for the seller. I'd love a proper Tal120 on the small motorised mount.

If the Tal 1M goes for under a ton, I'd be over the moon for the buyer.

A bit of fun now.......

The 200K is sitting below £200 at the mo.

Value of included accessories on the 2nd hand market, in my opinion

1/ Tal 8x50 finder & bracket .....£30

2/ Telrad ................................£20

3/ x4 plossls ...........................£60(£15 ea)

4/ barlow(looks like Tal)...........£20

5/ Tal diagonal .......................£20

6/ Fitted out Birchwood case ....£??

So the scope is costing £50 or less depending on the value you put on the case.

Hehehe.
