A few of my best

Hi Chris. Great to have you posting some images on SGL. Superb images they are too. All the better for being produced from relatively low cost kit. There are a lot of people using (and struggling) with DSLRs on here. Do you have any tips on how to get the most out of these cameras? What sort of exposure times were you using for M33?

Please keep the images coming Chris

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

I feel after a steep learning curve i have finally got to where i want to be in astrophotography.

So ..... some details of each image taken with the Orion 80ED:

Orion Nebula:

7 x 3mins = 21min for main image, would have taken more but it started to rain !!!!

6 x 30sec for core of Orion Nebula

Also used my Anteres LP filter but forgot to increase the exposure time :D

ISO 400

Darks & Flats

M33:

26 x 3mins = 1h 18mins

ISO 400

Darks & Flats

M31:

40 x 3mins = 2h

ISO 400

Darks & Flats

The weather has been terrible here in Scotland so it feels like i havent been out in ages !!

All guided with PHD Guiding, best software i have found for guiding.
