Stunning Comet Image!

Recommended Posts

Just received this from David Strange of the NLO Observers Group:

(Follow the link for a stunning image!)

I don't think we have seen such a spectacle as this since the Great

Comet of 1744. The tail is so long now it is appearing back in our

northern skies.

If it is clear after an hour after sunset during the next few days it

should be possible to see these synchrones or striae - which are

faint streaks of light looking like an aurora.

This spectacular image was taken near the VLT in Chile.

Bleeping Heck!, That is some tail!

Missed it here due the British Weather, every weather system over the UK has left a solid cloud trail over me here. Not seen any stars since before Christmas! :p:D:p:blob6::blob5::blob3::blob8:

Naz :blob7::D:p:(:lol:
