Fine Focusing

Hi all

clear lastnight (about time) and saturn is looking even better than lastime, but at high magnification the focuser is a pain the slitest touch and it is out of focus and it takes an age to refocus again, so can someone recomend a fine focuser for my 10" dob, as I have no idea of whot are the goodones and whot ars the badones for my scope. thankyou all Andy.

A simple stopgap is to improvise a lever or 'wand' to 'extend' the knob. It allows you to make smaller movements.

Otherwise a replacement fouser with 2 speed fine control, though I rarely use the slow speed visually.

An old coffee jar lid glued to the focuser wheel works well. Doesn't look pretty but, hey, it's dark out there (unless you're a solar observer)

Clothes peg.... but that more for SCT's and Maks with smaller daimeter focusing knobs..
