Hi Clayton, nice start, try to resample like 1.5 X or 2.0 in registax and work with the gamma settings in AstraArt or PS..

Its hard this year Clayton, im really struggling so far, i havent got one colour image im happy with, so i know what its like, must be even harder at 8" and a toucam, as such your getting the results that the equipment, and seeing will allow. Not much more you can do. is that the dark spot i can see on your image ?
