Rigel + dew

I was setting up the focus on the camera by going to a bright star but hadn't realised how much dew was about.

Anyway the end result is almost artistic.

It's a flexible heating element in a velcro type strip which goes around your dew shield to prevent....Dew.

Or I use a hairdryer if it's really bad.

thats ok for viewing Greg , but if you are doing long exposures , getting anywhere near the scope can cause stars to elongate, thats why i use the strip and keep well away from the scope, its amazing ,even walking around ,say 8 ft from the scope can cause slight movement , thats with obsorbtion pads as well .

Worth having a bit of dew from time to time, just to get that effect, its wonderful... 8)
