RORs are for wimps.

I think that's a tad unfair... ROR's are very well suited to those with a limited viewing area, or where having something as obviuos as a dome would invite the undesirables.

I'm very fortunate to have great skies from horizon to horizon, and the space to set up my observatory well away from any buildings which would curtail observing

Would have a roll off if I had the space, alas my monster took up all the spare room I had.

During recent (all too) brief gaps in the permacloud, I have finally managed to drift align to a satisfactory degree. However I now have to deal with the dew problem which has spoilt my planetary imaging.

As I'm on an enforced extended leave, I'll have to try a cheapo method of dew prevention, which I foresee involving a hairdrier and some flexible ducting.

It really is great to be able to pop out at a moments notice and start observing....
