Well getting excited already,bbc weather report clear for the night tomorrow in the stafford area,west midlands area.

Things could change,but at least i got my new eyepieces in time

Im off tomorrow so scope will be out with newly fitted fan and ready for test providing no locals buy a new telescope

Typical, 4 nights off and nothing but thick cloud and rain. Back to work tomorrow night for 4 nights, make the most of the clear nights guys, its bound to last until sunday when I'm off next,

There is a possible clear slot behind a cold front on Wednesday night but it is only a slot. You need to wait for the weekend for the better chance of clear skies as the cool NW flow arives and high pressure builds.

Not here either. I am a bit miffed, it's the local observatory open week this week until Saturday but only if there are clear skies. I don't think it'll be happening!

A couple of tiny clear patches here before 10 o'clock, just enough time to locate Capella in my new eyepiece before it disappeared behind a cloud!

I didn't live up to expectations, as always , just a slightly clear sky with a veil of cloud with thin patches around. Not exactly ideal viewing conditions so I will wait until the weekend for some serious viewing.
