I almost literally can't believe this! I mean I do believe it, but...well, I can't even express how stunned I am.

Twenty years ago I nearly got into amateur astronomy, and so read a few books and mags etc. I am, therefore, used to seeing amateur astrophotos from a bot 1990.

Imagine my shock, then, at seeing this! If someone told me this was a Hubble shot, I honestly would not even question it.

But then to find out you only got your first CCD a few weeks ago?!?

Thank you so much for the kind words, it's correct I've been using my first CCD for about 4 weeks at the time I took this photo. But I've started astrophotography using a DSLR in the autumn of 2009 (first time looking through a telescope too). But I've been photographing for some years now, shooting alot of extremesports & some nature too, so I'm very familiar with photoshop, & that helped me aloot when getting into astrophotography!

As others have said, it's a superb shot. You can't go wrong with an FSQ106.
