well drove out a few miles just the camera , no scope no tripod, waited for the clouds to clear then took a snap , not bad not as good as others have done , but i did see it whoo hoo a lovely sight i must say , USED THE 200 MM LENS ON THE CANON

Thats nice Roger, as you say it's nice to have these things on film!

Just about the best place for you Roger, would be to head down onto the road thata goes onto Canvey and stop in one of the layby's.

The West Horizon there is excellent!

Try and get to the layby coming off the Island as apposed to the one going on to it!
