johnh
SPX350 F20 - 7000mm fl, PGRFlea3, Astrodon red filter.Seeing was vgood but scudding cloud affected seeing greatly so getting a mosaic was tough as it took 5-10mins after cloud before seeing improved and then next lot of cloud was ontop of the moon, so a frustrating night before sudden rain finished the session. Used a lower fl this time to match seeing but good seeing was short lived.Always wanted Mons Rumker dome but terminator needs to be quite close or it just can't be seen as it is only 650-1100meters above lava plain. Made up of 30 domes like shield volcanoes on Earth from mantle plumes beneath now extinct. Picked up lovely wrinkle ridges close to terminator. Thanks, John.
