My sky is clear, my newly modded 1000D has arrived - The moon is massive - Grrrr!

I looked out not expecting to see a clear sky as the forecast says there's lots of cloud over Spain, instead it's nice and clear. So I wanted to get out to try the newly modded 1000D, but the damn moon is just in the way - Grrrrrrrrrrrr!! It's stupidly bright at the moment!

I don't want to image the moon!!

You never know, you might enjoy imaging the moon... use the qhy5 with the 120ED, if you've got a barlow, use that too.. see how close you can get, then mosaic it...

Love to have some clear skies to image the moon with...

Tell me John - I really can not imagine much with the moon so bright can I? (She asks hopefully!!)

When the moon is like this, I image the moon and planets... I know you can image deep sky if you have suitable a narrow band setup, but that requires suitable filters and cameras... not sure on SLR's...

I for one never get tired of moon shots it makes a wonderful target - and I see new things each time. Go on get shooting
