Skywatcher Explorer-250P DS Weight

Do any of you know the weight of this OTA please?

The Skywatcher website says that the Tube weight is 2.5KG, either this is a misprint or they mean the stripped tube?

i'm off to rothervally optics this saturday to order one from what i've gathered its a managable scope so long as you dont have a glass back, and also if you spend a bit of time "practicing" mounting/dismounting the scope when it's not dark so doing so in the dark is not as hard.

I am not worried about weight for myself as I have the OO UK GX250, I was just wondering about it on my EQ5, and as I do not do any imaging, I am purely an observer, the mount will handle it fine.

its around 11ish kg - managable but as above as long as you are ok to handle this and dont have any back issues etc

Its not too heavy, just due to size a lot to handle. I'm happy with it either way

Well you can see what I am handling at the moment from my avatar, so as I said weight not a problem…I aint very clever but I can’t arf lift heavy things!

11Kg so add a camera, guide scope etc, now wonder I need more counterweights
