First view of orion nebula

just seen the great nebula in orion for the first time through my 12x50 binoculars. so blumming happy! can't wait to get a scope!

Had a look myself tonight through my 10 x 50 bins, the moon was bright tonight here, so wasn,t as clear as last week.

It is a favourite of many here M42. It is my absolute favourite and I never tire of looking at it.

This year is the first I have observed Orions Nebula. It is already a firm favourite.

was viewing it last night with my 10inch dob. stunning view! i managed to see a green tint the first time i saw it under really dark skies.

lovely on high and low power.

I have never seen it with a green tint, I am one of those who always sees it as blue.

It looks green to me in dark skies with my 10 inch dob. Under really dark skies I gather the tails loop right around!

Amazing view.

Now wait until you see M27 in the summer. Its pretty amazing as well.

No, it is just people's eyes are different, some see it in blue, some green, some say that can see a pink tinge.

Gutted, here in Nottingham I tried last night, saw the star cluster where the cloud should be but no cloud, the moon was very bright though.....

will try another night when the moon is less bright.

I seen it for the first time recently too, first with my binoculars then with my reflector. It is amazing!
