RegiStax help....

Recommended Posts

I really need some help and advice with this. I have taken some videos with a SPC900nc but can't get them onto RegiStax from some reason. They are avi videos and have at least 500 frames in. They just don't seem to load up.

I would post one here for you to try but I can't load them on here either....!

Has anyone got any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

I'm desperate to turn my videos into decent pictures but can't even get over the first hurdle. I can't wait to be able to post some half decent pictures on SGL but am at a loss as to what to do next.

There could be a number of reasons why the avi file won't load into Registax.

1. are you using the same computer to capture the avi and process it ?

(the capture software would probably have installed the codecs on the imaging computer and these need to also be on both computers. Install the capture software on both computers)

2. If this doesn't work try running the avi through Virtualdub and save it as an older formay of avi.

3. The avi file can also be converted into individual bmp files using avi2bmp and the bmp files then loaded into Registax.

Don't mean to hijack your thread Yidoboy, hope its okay to ask a question about Registax?

My problem is pic size upon editing.

Whenever I go to 'save' the only size I can save is either 8 or 16 bit.

Is this right?

Any help please?, or should I start another topic?
