I have been looking at the flex tube dobs, so it's good to know I'm in the right sort of mind.

Particularly, the 10" or 12" auto. I think auto would be important, but don't feel the need for GoTo.

Unfortunately, the Sky Watcher site omits a load of specs for these scopes, including weight, collapsed size etc, which. Would have thought to be quite important!

Any way, first thing is to establish a budget. Can't see anything happening for a couple of months at least, so plenty of time to ruminate.

As for MAS, I'm not really a 'club' person, being very anti-social by nature. It takes me years to feel comfortable round new people. So these fora are great for me, as I get to pick brains without having to do disagreeable things, like speak to people!
