hello.

im a newbie with no experience of astronomy other than years of armchair interest. ive decided to get up and actually get out there.

after buying a 90mm celestron e/q refractor and a couple of books ,i thought a forum for reference and advice in my new hobby should be on the list too.

so here i am :(.

so far managed over the first 2 weeks ,good jupiter and moons viewing and a look at the orion nebulae (m?)..told you i was new.

anyways...enough from me.

Hi Rory,

Welcome to the lounge.

You've definitely come to the right forum for plenty of friendly helpful advice.

If you haven't already downloaded Stellarium I can thoroughly recommend it. It's a free planatarium program that will help you find your way around the sky. You can get it here.
