Small step to start

many of you are making images on good mounts with big telescopes, long exposures... and as I dont have any of them yet I'm trying to shoot on the budget - simple tripod, simple camera and an opened window

You can try adjusting white balance, it can prevent from showing too much orange.

I live 20m from street lighting but my city is on budget saving program so only every second light is on

Yes, and such photos help in learning process to finding out what and where is...
