Everything will be ok....:D and if it does rain you can all come to squids astroboot emporium and give me lots of cash so I can buy more booze and cry myself to sleep of an evening! :)

Stardad, if you want me to collimate your scope and show you the steps to go through I'll be more than happy to oblige :)

Hopefully Helen will have come up with enough people to give talks that will keep us all entertained on an Astronomical side if its that bad.

I'I probably stick the kids swimming gear in and we'll go off to the local pool for a swim.

Your wish is my command sir :D

I attach the draft timetable for talks and practical sessions. That should keep you busy!!

Update on the weather. Still mild and sunny spells Friday afternoon in to the evening.

A little glitch on Saturday lunchtime and then a return to sunny spells in the afternoon and hopefully good seeing on Saturday evening..

As you can see I am trying to stay positive...

SGL6 has started

5 SGL members are now pitched at Lucksall with 2 more arriving this afternoon.

The site is perfect and the new toilet block and washing up facilities are excellent. The marquees will arrive tomorrow so everything is now set up.

I so wish I had booked for longer now.... can't wait!

Hopefully the weather will pick up by the time I get there thurs, but you know what, If it doesn't I don't care, I'm going to enjoy my first camping trip of the year whatever and spend some quality time with my son. :D

I will focus on just enjoying some quality time with my eldest. And also everyone else there.

Don't worry tent will be packed and looking forward to seeing everyone. Astro gear is staying behind in the slim hope it brings some clear skies. No big deal, i had nothing to bring anyway :D

I am now getting things sorted. frankly I have given up worrying about the weather it will be nice to meet everyone ad I am so looking forward to seeing some nice equipment even if I don't get to use it getting everything sorted scope, tent, viagra etc

I picked up Hypernova's dob from his place this afternoon and I've now filled the boot with a lot of my 'stuff'. 3 more crates on the front seat tomorrow morning and pack my pj's and I'm on my way.

If someone would like to park a lorry or practise putting the marque tent up on my pitch to keep the grass dry I won't complain :D
