5am here, been imaging since 9pm the night before Tis great

It was a cracking night. Can someone tell me; is Saturn near its furthest from us at the moment? It looked quite small last night.

I think we're actually fairly close at the moment, though we're getting closer and should be closest in April when we're between the Sun and Saturn, after which point we're moving away from it until about November when we're the opposite side of the Sun.

Assuming I've read things right, of course

I know there are proper terms for those two situations, but I just can't drag them out of my memory at the moment.
