starstuck Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 hi!.... i have a eq3/2 mount with polarscope and dual motors fitted can it be successfully upgraded to goto, if so, synscan or syntrak? what is skytrak? can i buy an upgrade kit without motors? i understand this mount cannot be guided(no guide port). any advice appreciated! i have a sw st120/600 and canon 40d. paul Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

E621Keith Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 You can upgrade the EQ3-2 with GOTO, but they use different motors (included with the upgrade kit) The Synscan system has a autoguider port.SynScan TM GO-TO UPGRADE - Upgrade Kit for standard EQ3-2 by OVLIf you only need an autoguider port, you can mod your dual axis hand controller.
