Laser Polar Alignment

Recommended Posts

Responding to a laser question on another thread, I mentioned I used a laser attached to the polar scope.

Although this method was to get the mount (NEQ6) in the ball park without having to get in some awkward positions, it is quit accurate.

Once the laser is hitting Polaris, it is detached and the final adjustment made with the Alt & Azm adjusters.

Here are a few photos asked for (sorry about poor quality) of the setup and the adapter I made to suit my laser.
