how to attach a guidescope to C9.25

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have recently purchased the C9.25 from FLO( excellent prices there for this scope ) and am about to enter in to the field of autoguiding.

What would be the best way of attaching a guidescope to the celestron C9.25, without having to drill any holes in to the tube.

Any advice would help to this newcomer of SCT`s.

Also I already have a skywatcher ED80 which i could use as a guidescope, or would i be better buying a lighter scope such as the startravel st80.

My mount is the Skywatcher EQ6

Thanks

Philip

I would recommend not using a guidescope - but an Off Axis Guider instead. On big focal lengths OAGs will provide better performance. Celestron Radial Guider is the first on the list available for SCTs. You don't add extra weight (guidescope), and the guiding will be very good.
