Filters ? What for ?

Recommended Posts

Hi all !

I'm imaging with an Equinox 80ED and a 450D DSLR.

I have the SW field flattener, it comes with a thread allowing to use 2" filters. Now what filters ? My camera hasn't been de-filtered, so I'm wodering what filters could do to enhance the results I could get when imaging ?

Thanx for your input !

These are filters to cut the light pollution from the images. My images are pure orange if i don't use a filter. I use a 2" Skywatcher LPR, which does the job nicely for me. I'm only taking short exposures. But for much longer exposures i would have to invest in a more robust filter like the CLS.
