New Moon Images 15/01/2011

Hey, this is my first time posting here!

I have recently taken a few moon images and I though I would post um!!

For this mosaic I used RegiStax to stack 20, 500 frame avi's taken on an Imaging Source DMK 21AU04.AS with a 2x Barlow on a SkyWatcher Equinox-120 PRO ED, mounted on a CG5 mount:

And this one is taken using an unmodified Canon 450D on an Equinox-120 PRO ED, mounted on a CG5 mount.

I agree - lovely images. I personally like the second one - it shows up the various colourings of the maria to perfection.

Very impressive indeed. For me (not a lunar imager) I might ease down the sharpening on the big one, but it is lovely. Make a superb BIG print for the wall.

Hopefully tonight will be good and I will try another mosaic with my 4x.
