I had a lot of fun with lunar mosaics... but I think this one was probably my best

C80ED, 2x barlow, QHY5v

25p-250of1000mosaicedit1800.jpg

astroqhy5vbits_00002-PART1_pp.jpg

I also pushed things a lot (who me :))... with a 5x barlow instead of the 2x, I don't know why, but I find this area really interesting.

schillertobailey.jpg

And we had some wonderful Halo's, Canon 450d and kit lens

This was my first year of "video" lunar imaging and I think this was my best attempt.

The first of these shot was taken with the Mak on 30.08.10. The second, with the Dob a few months later on 15.11.10. Both using the 1000D at ISO100, prime focus, manually setup, single shots, tweaked in Lightroom, resized and cropped...

Amazing images, outstanding work.

I made this mosaic with Microsoft ICE today.

Hope to one day be able to get shots as good as the ones I've seen here.

I just love the left hand picture Peter.

Really gives the feeling of how barren it is up there.
