M37 through the murk

I've been so frustrated recently with the lack of clear skies I took a chance on last night, moonlight, wind and rapidly approaching frontal system, it was c**p! :)

Nevertheless I just managed to get some 1min subs on M37, RGB 8:11:11 with the Atik 383 and 14".

Not a very deep image but reminds me of the view through the telescope.

Rob.

Thanks Rik, yes they are much easier because you can flatten the background and get rid of gradients much easier. You're also not trying to tease out faint nebulosity and worrying about star sizes.

If you feel like some happy stress-free imaging clusters are the way to go :)

That's come out really well Rob with tight round well coloured stars. I think clusters are a good choice with the moon around. They tend to stand up better than attempts at faint nebulae and galaxies. You've transformed murk into crystal clear!
