Philips SPC880 Installation CD

Hi again, jusr wondering where I can get the above software as there is no cd with my webcam. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you look on the Morgans site at the page you buy the webcam from, there is a download for the SPC880 for the driver

You only need the driver not the full Philips software package (also on the page):

spc900nc_00_dw7_eng

is the file you need.

As long as you know where you unzip the .inf file you only need the spc880.zip, just point the usb automatic installer to the inf file.

The spc900 software isn't all that good but it will install and work with the 880 even unflashed, it won't detect the camera on installation but will detect it once you run it on WinXP

I've read elsewhere here that you can install the 880 on Win7 in the same way, i.e. just the inf file, then use your own choice of recording software.

Yup - mine is on Win 7 64 bit and works OK.
