The ones I've read about (the Orthoscopics) seem to be OK but not as good as the classic "volcano top" orthos or Baader Genuine Orthos.

I notice they seem to get sold on at very low prices and quite quickly which might point to their owners not being over-impressed with them.

I have the 7.7mm Kson Ortho, bought very cheaply secondhand. It's okay, certainly better than the eyepieces supplied with a new scope. But compared to the Antares 7mm Ortho, the low price becomes very apparent. It's built very cheaply to cut costs and the optics are merely acceptable. They lack the crispness of the Antares or even a good Plossl. Anyone stuck on a really, really low budget but wanting to replace their 10mm Skywatcher supplied with their new scope would get some benefit from one of these perhaps.

I have a kson x2 achro barlow, I've taken the glass out and kept the metal tube, I find the view more pleasing that way!!

I thought about doing that too with our 2x barlow.

The reason I asked was because I've seen a few for sale on fleabay going for £16!

Shame really - I was quite excited when some more, affordable, othos appreared on the market.
