Jupiter 1-5-11

On the 5th of Jan. I tried out the EOS camera movie record on my Canon 1D MarkIII. It worked fine, but the detail was not that good. Was it because Jupiter was around 20-30 degrees above the horizon. The video was taken around 4:00-4:30 UTC time.

I did some quick edits with Registax5.1 tonight. They came out good, don't know if they can be improved. The first one is with a 4.8mm EP and the second one is with a 10mm EP.

With an elevation that low, it is definitely harder to get good results.

The first shot doesn't look too bad to me considering technique and the quality of the video (UTube)

Low elevation is a bummer. Pretty decent results considering.
