Hi guys, Another newbie thanks to BBC Stargazing. I've long been intrigued by the night sky, and always assumed it would be prohibitively difficult and expensive to 'get into'. Thank you BBC for putting me right. I've ordered a Skyline 200P Dob, and I'm particularly looking forward to seeing the Messier objects. Amazed at the amount you can see by eye just by looking up!! Andy

Hi Andy, just up the road in Rubery. There's a meeting at the Lickeys Country Centre in March when the Astronomical Society of Birmingham are having their annual outside bash. Might be worth popping up there. 11th I think it is?
