Eyepiece advice

Hi all,

One of the newer Stargazerslounge members has contacted me with a view to buying 2 or 3 of the Meade Series 4000 Super Plossls I am selling http://tinyurl.com/8tt2q

He will soon be the proud owner of an 8" Skywatcher Dobsonian (1200mm F6) http://tinyurl.com/clq9u and is wondering which of the eyepieces would be most useful to him.  Still available are the 6.4, 9.7, 12.4, 20, 26, 32 and 40mm (the 15mm has already sold).

Personally, I think the 12.4 (97x), 20 (60x) and the 32 (38x) would make a good set.  Not only would they offer a good spread of low, med' and high magnifications but they would all barlow well without duplication.

The question he asks is a common and recurring one so I thought it would make a good topic for discussion.

Which ones would you suggest?

Steve :)
