i HAVE I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A SKY WATCHER 1145P GOTO TELESCOPE. CAN ANY BODY TELL ME WHAT SYSTEM DOES THE COMPANY SKY WATCHER USE TO IMPUT THE LONGATUDE AND LATTITUDE CO ORDINATES INTO THE HAND SET AS I HAD DIFFICULTY WORKING OUT HOW TO DO THIS FROM THE CO ORDINATES THAT I OBTAINED FROM THE INTER NET. I WILL BE GRATEFULL IF ANY BODY CAN TELL ME.

seems to be standard coordinates longitude and lat so birmingham uk will be 1.48w and 52.3n it doesn't appear to be decimal

try this to get your long and lat if the first number comes up as a minus that means its west I hope this helps http://www.batchgeo.com/lookup/
