M42 2nd try

Finished off last night session with a few pics of M42.

This is a single shot afocal through a 25mm Ortho.

I think it shows some progress.

Rog DSO imaging is good fun but with a 15 second max exposure time I think available targets with current set up is limited.

I stacked 3 images in registax and auto processed.

Not sure if it's better than the single image?

That's a good result from 15 secs Ian but with such short exposures stacking isn't going to bring that much more. I high proportion of the noise will be read noise which is constant in every image so won't be lost with the stacking process. Looks like time for an investment of some sort
