Star Walk App

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I just got an iPad; does anyone use the Star Walk App? Thoughts? Any other 'rival' apps out there?

I've downloaded but not had time to play yet.

Hello JohnJ, there is a new group for Mac users, we have a couple of members so far only been up and running a day or so. There is a section there for ipad, one of the members has said that he will post some info on there. You are more than welcome to join us and please review any apps you may have for astronomy. Please post any apps or info you find.

Hi, that's great I will check it out - I'm a bit of a Mac/Apple fanboy (3 x iPods, iPad, iPhone4 & 3G, Macbook & Unibody Macbook Pro).

I've got both starwalk and solarwalk on my ipod... it works great. Helped me locate Neptune and Uranus with my Bino's last year, and used it for all sorts of other things. It's even better on the iphone as it tracks as you move... but I don't have the iphone.

I've got star walk on the iPad and think it's brilliant! Not too keen on having the iPad outside in the pitch black though...
