Digi-Steve
I wonder what's best to get. A CCD or a modded webcam. I allready have a Canon 50D but this morning I tried to take a picture of venus and all I see is a tiny dot untill I completly zoom in on the picture. Then I can see that this dot is venus. I wanna take some better pictures of the planets. steve

Pete Presland
depends how much you want to spend ? you can get going with a webcam + nose piece for as little as £30Cheap Philips SPC880 webcam - 49269 - discounts & offersthis place sells the webcams for under £10 there is plenty of info on this forum about the software upgrade and fitting a nosepiece.this set up is ideal for planetary images, deep sky requires a further long exposure mod to the webcam or a dslr or dedicated ccd camera both being quite a bit more than £
