The same seller has now relisted it for a 5th time, this time with a corrector plate, and a NexStar C5 (rather than the C8) included. Postage is now a whopping £500!

Highly suspicious, wonder if he's got a bit of plate glass cut to size!

I asked the seller if this was a repaired OTA, and I got this response:

back. it required only mirror collimation.

I asked about the reflections suggesting it wasn't the original corrector, and I asked specifically if it was the original corrector and I got this back:

and maybe this is whyit require collimation. the scope is in very good

condition and the coating of corrector plate will not have that much effect

on the image quality once it is perfectly collimated. and requires only

collimation and this is why it is less than half price of new one. we do

not have a celestron dealer her in middle east where I can send it for such

collimation, in USA or UK it would cost around $175 to do a profissional

collimation, which is not much but the problem is the shipping costs.

Looks likely that it's a replacement plate glass plate for a broken corrector, so it's a steer-clear unless you can source a genuine replacement or a factory repair.

That reminds me of some guys on youtube converting a broken Canon 300mm f4L lens into a lens cup. This C11 HD will make a fine bin for the keen astronomer.

I reported the listing as circumventing ebay fees today. For both the scope and the watches. We'll see. Maybe if it's about ebay's own money, it might get their attention. ;-)
