With the moon about last night I thought it best to stick to NB for the evening. It also gave me the chance to use my new Bahtinov mask i got from fleabay, its incredibe.... focus is achieved in seconds. Ive found that the Baader RGB set isnt quite as parfocal as it claims. The B mask revealed the slight differences between R,G and B.

Nice pic, the 2nd attempt is maybe a little bit too sharp. The middle way could it be. But anyhow a great flaming star!

It is a super capture. Personally I would go for the sharpended core layered onto the softer, deeper background. Noel's Actions Enhance Local Contrast would be a killer on the original image for a guess.
