The Moon 14-12-2010

The first clear night in ages so had another go at the Moon even though it was a phase close to my last attempt.

This was 13 panes stitched in Microsoft ICE, each pane produced with Registax5 and a little final tweaking in photoshop. Scope used FL102S at prime focus and DMK21 camera.

Looks great Dave, although you've got one or two join artefacts it looks like ICE didn't quite get right. 13 panes is an easy job in iMerge though.

I might just give that a try John, the only trouble with iMerge is the need to convert files to bmp format first and I'm a bit lazy in that respect.

Ah gotcha... Irfanview has a batch image converter. Select them in the thumbnails tool press B select output... go... job done
